Canazei is located in the heart of Dolomiti Superski, Europe’s biggest ski conglomerate. With 6 separate ski resorts and more than 70 km of pistes, not to mention renowned mountain restaurants and fantastic après ski, your day out on the slopes is sure not to disappoint!
Whether an experienced skier or a complete novice, Canazei is the perfect place to spend your winter holiday in Trentino. Your day will begin with a sweat or savoury champion’s breakfast to give you all the energy you’ll need. With your boots on and your skis on your back, you’re ready for an incredible day at the most beautiful ski resort the Fassa Valley has to offer.
Surrounded by the Pordoi, Sella and Fedaia Passes, Canazei is an authentic alpine skiing gem thanks to its modern ski lifts, a mecca for winter sports enthusiasts. You can test yourself on the gentle slopes while marvelling at the stunning backdrop of the Dolomites, challenge your friends to a race along the timed route at Col Rodella or experience the thrill of the parabolic curves and walls of snow at the snowpark.
Never been skiing before? You’ve come to the right place! The ski instructors at Canazei’s expansive ski school, located in the heart of the town, can’t wait to help you fall in love with this sport.
Are you an adrenaline junkie? Put yourself to the test on our 5 black pistes: Diego, Ciampac, Vulcano, Tomba and Aloch (which is also floodlit). Long, technically challenging and boasting thrilling slopes, they are the pride of the Fassa Valley.
The panoramic tour of Sass Becé
Situated between the Fassa Valley and Arabba, the Sass Becé mountain takes pride of place in the Belvedere-Canazei ski resort. The Sass Becé Tour, a variant of the Sellaronda and Skitour Panorama, is signposted in pink around this majestic mountain and can be followed in either direction. The panorama is simply indescribable, an authentic paradise!
From Canazei, take the cable car (Canazei-Pecol 101) or shuttle bus to Pecol. From here, you can either continue your assent on the Toè Col dei Rossi cable car (104) or the Pecol Col dei Rossi funicular railway (102). From here, descend the Kristiania slope on foot to arrive at the Sass Becé chair lift. Now simply follow the fuchsia-coloured signs. Your first goal is the Pordoi Pass, from where you can reach the Sass Pordoi summit (2950 m), better known as the Terrace of the Dolomites, in a matter of minutes by cable car.
Here, the welcome sight of the Rifugio Maria lodge, where you can enjoy a traditional lunch with 360-degree views of the peak, will be the icing on the cake of this panoramic tour of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Do you love après ski or relaxing in the spa? Canazei has both covered!
After having spent a day on the slopes, the only thing left is decide what to do in the evening. If you find yourself full of energy after nightfall, then après ski is for you! Enjoying a drink with friends in one of Canazei’s many trendy bars with great background music is the perfect way to end the day.
If, on the other hand, your legs are starting to feel heavy and all you want to do is relax and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, why not let us pamper you at our wellness centre?. Relaxing in the sauna and enjoying a herbal tea will make you feel brand new from head to toe!
